This year’s annual Turkey Tournament (aka Gobbler Invitational) was held on November 18th and couldn’t have been played on a more perfect fall Walnut Creek day. With 32 participants divided into teams of 4 (2 men and 2 women), tournament play was setup as a modified team tennis format with 2 matches for every round.

Players were able to squeeze in 2 rounds of play before sitting down to a lunch of turkey sandwiches.

After lunch, participants settled in to watch the finals which featured the family team of Ted & Dee Karwoski and Mike & Jenna DeBoisblanc vs. Raanan Sagy, Pauline Hanley, Carol Kennedy & Gabe Golstein.

It was a tightly contested match but in the end the Karwosksi\DeBoisblanc team won the title and took home a couple of ready to eat turkey dinners. Thanks again to Karen Hirtzel for coordinating and running the tournament.
