| This year's awards banquet and ceremony was great fun.
As always, the casino games were popular, with quite a few folks taking advantage of the opportunity to learn how to play craps.
2005 Club Champions were announced throughout the evening, and in addition to receiving beautiful etched mugs,
they got to draw a winning raffle ticket. At the end of the evening, everyone cashed in their casino winnings
for more raffle tickets and the remaining prizes were given away.
This year we also brought back Kinders catering, who provided an excellent BBQ beef and chicken dinner.

This year, due to the increased success of our annual Banquet sponsorship program,
WCRC will create a new fund that can be used throughout the year to contribute to local youth tennis programs.
As you may know, in the past years we've contributed a portion of the proceeds from our annual Banquet to three
local high schools: Northgate, Ygnacio Valley and Mt. Diablo as well as a grass roots program that our own Arlene Acosta
runs out of the Riverview Middle School in Bay Point. If you know of a worthwhile local youth tennis programs that would
benefit from some additional funds, please contact a board member.
